Public Speaking Skills:
They Don't Know Where Your Going
Past President of the National Speakers Association Mike McKinley always says, 'Do not worry about minor mistakes when you are public speaking. The audience does not know your script.' This is an important lesson to remember when your practicing your public speaking skills.
It will make little difference if you forget to mention something as long as you have planned with good material.
It will however make a BIG difference if you get so rattled because you left something out that then you start a domino effect of additional mistakes and omissions.
Having good public speaking skills involves rolling with the punches, adapting and adjusting, always attentive to your audience needs.
